Target: BP Webinar: Translating AHA’s New Scientific Statement on the Measurement of Blood Pressure into Practice

This one-hour webinar will be used to train physicians and other care team members registered for the AHA/AMA joint Target: BP initiative, on the new Measurement of blood pressure (BP) in humans and demonstrate how resources available in Target: BP support translating the evidence into practice.

The webinar will highlight the major recommendations of the new statement from the American Heart Association including:

  • – device selection, validation, and calibration;
  • – role and use of 24-hour ABPM and HBPM in diagnosis and management of hypertension;
  • – and the importance of staff training and retraining

Featured Speaker: Jackson T. Wright, Jr., MD, PhD, Emeritus Professor of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University, University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by The American Heart Association and American Medical Association. The American Heart Association is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
